View All DealsYou can get a direct flight from Dublin, Cork or Shannon for hassle-free holidays to Torremolinos. The beaches are big, the nightlife is vibrant and the food is varied and delicious. If you're hankering after some home comforts, you'll find plenty of Irish pubs too.
People have been taking their holidays in Torremolinos since the early 1950s, with such famous visitors as Frank Sinatra and Orson Welles frequenting Carihuela beach. At 3.5 million visitors a year, this is the Costa del Sol's most popular resort, for singles and couples as well as families. The main attraction in Torremolinos is still the big sandy beach and the many different shops and restaurants. Fun-seekers will love the party atmosphere here after dark, too.
Carihuela beach is right next to the town centre and the sand stretches out from there for 9 kilometres. Carihuela beach is proud to fly its Blue Flag, showing that it’s really clean and safe for bathing. There are plenty of cafés and beach bars here, and you'll have easy access to brollies and sunbeds.
Torremolinos leads a double life after dark, with the town centre hosting both Spanish and expat-style venues. Like many countries with a hot climate, the locals don't even start their evening until after 10pm. Near the marina, the main party district of Benalmadena is where you'll find cocktail bars, welcoming pubs, and all-night clubs. In the town centre, you’ll find mostly Spanish flamenco dancing and tapas bars.
