About Thailand
If you’re wondering what Thailand’s got that other countries don’t, ‘khwaam pen thai’ is your answer. The phrase translates as ‘Thai-ness’. It means street food, temples known as wats, and floating markets where longtail boats stand in for stalls. Flights to Thailand put all of this in the palm of your hand. Of course, in a country of 513,000 square kilometres, it can be hard to know where to cut your Thai teeth. Those that do pledge their allegiances, though, tend to do it to Phuket, Khao Lak and Krabi, where pearl-white sands and balmy waters are par for the course. Take the latter, for instance – Krabi’s coastline is peppered with postcard-worthy islands. On holidays here, you can follow in the footsteps of 007 on James Bond Island or take a speedboat over to the Phi Phi Islands. Meanwhile, over in Khao Lak, there are national parks to explore. Then there’s Bangkok. It’s a city where, at night, monks pray in pin-drop silence as drinkers travel between open-air beer stands, cocktail bars and techno clubs. We fly direct to Phuket International Airport, as well as Krabi International Airport on our 787 Dreamliners, and you can upgrade to Premium Club for fast-track security, UK lounge access and priority boarding.
