Flying from Dublin airport, holidays to Port des Torrent allow you to take life easy and enjoy quiet time on the beach, but with the option of visiting more energetic San Antonio Town, or old Ibiza Town.
Located on Ibiza’s west coast, Port des Torrent is the polar opposite of its energetic neighbour, San Antonio Town, only 5 kilometres away. Port des Torrent is a quiet, serene place. You can enjoy relaxing on the small sandy beach and then spend a calm evening at a taverna. Swimming, reading and walking are all popular activities here. If you want to live it up one night, however, you can of course head to ‘San An’ for livelier clubs and bars.
The beach is small – only 150 metres – and is tucked into a sheltered bay, meaning the water is warm and shallow. It's perfect for paddling and swimming. Although the beach is safe, there are usually lifeguards on duty. If you get hungry or thirsty, wander over to one of the beach bars for refreshments. This Blue Flag beach has rightly earned its award – it’s safe, clean and a pleasure to relax on.
If you fancy a day away from the seaside, you can head to one of the larger hotels for a round of golf or a game of tennis. Further into the countryside, you’ll also get opportunities for quad biking, go-karting and horse riding. You’ll find all this and more around the area.
If you’d like to soak up a livelier buzz for a day, Ibiza Town is only a 30-minute bus ride away. A leading cultural hotspot of the Balearics, the UNESCO-approved town has a castle surrounded by cobbled streets. You’ll also find plenty of eateries and shops to keep you entertained. The town has a 14th-century cathedral, best seen all lit up after sunset, and a marina where you can wander past the yachts and pop into the many bars and cafés.
