Best time to go to Ibiza

The weather in Ibiza – as in much of the Mediterranean – simply cannot be faulted. Beginning in May, the temperatures start to climb, with mercury readings in the mid-20s. As the summer hits its top gear, between June and August, the thermometer routinely reports temperatures of 30°C and higher. And, there’s no need to worry about rain, as the average in the summer is only about one day per month.

Health & Safety

You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. It’s also a good idea to get a European Health Insurance Card – or EHIC – before leaving Ireland. Though it’s not a substitute for travel insurance, it entitles you to emergency medical treatment on the same terms as Spanish nationals. It won’t, however, cover you for medical repatriation, ongoing medical treatment or non-urgent treatment.
